For the last two months I’ve been working on a new Indie project. It’s still pretty early on but I should have some nice images to show soon, for now a piece of concept art:

I’ve recently been working on an art test (which can be found here). At the moment I’m doing the track part:
General Update
Boiler Beach scene update
I’ve been building this into a scene, so far I’ve added a rock, terrain and water shader.
Everything apart from the boiler is work in progress.
Boiler
I thought it was time I updated with my latest little project. This is a boiler from a wrecked trawler I found on a local beach, I made a base mesh in 3D Max, sculpted in ZBrush and finally put into UDK.
Rocky
This time based on a Tor on Dartmoor.
I’m still learning ZBrush and perfecting my workflow.

Learning New Packages
For the few days I’ve been learning ZBrush. Today I decided to make a simple rock in Max and see what I could do with it in ZBrush, above is the result.
I’m also learning Maya but ZBrush is much more interesting and since it’s not a duplicate skill, probably more important.

ABB is now in Beta and is only a couple of weeks from completion, so there won’t be any real updates until then.
In the mean time I’ve set up a Vimeo channel for Flying Squirrel Games.
